Female ODM officials in Homa Bay have told the county government officials who are not satisfied with the administration to quit instead of rocking it from inside.
This follows accusations that some officials in the executive arm of the county government are sabotaging Governor Gladys Wanga’s administration.
According to the Chairperson of ODM in Rangwe Constituency Caroline Owidhi who is a close ally of Governor Wanga, some county government officials are rocking the administration from inside.
Owidhi gave example of some county workers’ pay slips which have been leaked to bloggers through social media platforms. This has led to circulation of the county government workers’ which are going viral in various social media platforms in the county.

She accused the county officials she did not mention their names, of leaking the payment details to the bloggers.
“We are appalled by the county government workers’ pay slips which are circulating in social media platforms. The slips are posted by people who do not work in the county government. It means they must have been leaked by people who work in the county government,” Owidhi said.
Owidhi said the habit amounts to sabotaging Governor Wanga’s government.
“It seems there are some county government officials who are not satisfied with their positions. They are employees of the county government but they end up rocking the county government from inside. They most stop or quit their jobs,” Owidhi said.
ODM Chairperson in Homa Bay Town Constituency Babby Omwenga said such officials should tender their resignation letters.
Omwenga argued that fighting a government one works for is tantamount to biting a hand that feeds them.
“We are giving them two options. They should stop or resign from the county government because there are other things they can do elsewhere,” Omwenga said.
According to Claris Ouma, the Women Leader in Homa Bay Town Constituency, the officials should not be tolerated anymore.
“Enough is enough. They have to decide where they are comfortable to work,” Ouma said.
Benter Agan, chairperson of ODM in Koachia Ward, urged leaders to be peaceful and focus on service delivery.

Agan argued that sabotage will not change lives of the county residents in any way.
“We need collaboration in service delivery to avoid a situation where some officials try to bring their boss down,” Agan said.
She said they will not allow anybody to undermine service delivery to the people of Homa Bay.
“Homa County has achieved development milestones through collaboration with the national government. There are very many projects that are now transforming lives in this county,” said Agan.
They warned the county residents against politicizing development projects taking place in Homa Bay.
